If you have a BMW in Portland, and you care about it, you take it to Pacific Motorsports. These guys deal with only BMWs (and Minis, which are made by BMW), so they know them inside and out. The other way to get such specialized knowledge about your BMW would be to go to the dealer, and pay at least 3 times more for anything (I also would trust the technicians at pacific MORE than the ones at the dealer anyway).I brought an old e36 in for an inspection and found out it had a number of problems. The secretary who walked me through the results of the inspection was very patient, and took time to explain each problem, and the process of fixing it. I couldn't believe how much she knew, not being one of the mechanics herself. She even told me what repairs I could wait on to save money, and when I asked, which ones I could possibly do myself. I was very impressed with that. The owner was also there to answer additional questions I had. This is an honest repair shop. When you bring your car there you know they're not trying to screw you over. Overall I've been very happy with this place. After all, a BMW needs to be treated right.
