I brought my 2014 BMW X1 in because of a noise. You correctly diagnosed a failing transfer case. This was bad news for a car with less than 50,000 miles because the repair would cost $5,000. You recommended that I go to the the BMW dealer (where I had bought it used about 3 months earlier) and see if they might be able to pay for part or all of the repair since it was unusual for this problem at such low miles (car was out of warranty due to age). I followed your advice and luckily the dealer and BMW picked up the total cost and my car is now running perfectly. You saved me $5,000, even though it meant you didn't get the repair business. Well, you earned all my future business. I just want to add that Chris did a wonderful job of informing both my wife and me about the diagnosis of the problem. We aren't car people but Chris did a great job of making us feel comfortable with the steps you took to determine the problem. Then, when I went to the dealer, they doubted that your diagnosis was correct, even after driving with me and hearing the noise. Turns out you were right and they were wrong. Anyway, job well done, guys!
