I had a drivetrain malfunction that appeared intermittently for a while after a snow storm stressed the awd system and the battery in my car. I took it to Kuni BMW to double check that everything was okay since the malfunction warning had stopped appearing and they read the codes and told me I needed a new transfer case for nearly 8k as well as front brake pads and rotors. Another independent shop said my car needed thousands of dollars in miscellaneous maintenance items. Took it to these guys ready to plop down 5k for them to replace the transfer case. They road tested it and checked the codes for me. They said the car doesn’t need anything more maintenance wise (other than oil changes.) until about 75k and it Turns out the awd system and transfer case are functioning normally! A weak battery was the likely culprit and they saved me thousands. Only shop I’ve found that didn’t try to upsell me on unnecessary engine cleaning services and such and now the only place I will trust. They will really take the time to explain things thoroughly and that was so refreshing!
