Given the recent Stay at Home order from the Governor’s Office, we would like to emphasize that, as a business deemed essential by both the federal Department of Homeland Security and state governments, we remain open.
As with gas stations and grocery stores, it is legal to leave your home to bring your BMW or MINI to us for service. How long this may be possible is anyone’s guess.
Our goal is to maintain the health and safety of our clients and employees by engaging in the most prudent procedures possible.
Please call us to inform us of your arrival. This may be done prior to your departure, on your way to Pacific Motorsports, or from our parking lot. Knocking on the window, which some clients have done, is fine, too.
Additionally, as part of our newly adopted Social Distancing Policy, we request that all vehicles be dropped off outside our front door under the awning. Please leave the keys in the car and we will retrieve both upon your departure.
All contact can be conducted via telephone, including payment. Our service advisor, Chris Riehl, is working from home and is available to handle everything remotely, as are those of us remaining at the workshop.
Should you need any BMW or MINI service, but are concerned about public exposure, call us and let us arrange a pick up or tow. We are happy to come and pick your car up at your convenience, or make the towing arrangements ourselves through our professional network, whichever you prefer.
Our vehicle cleaning procedures now include immediate disinfection of high touch surfaces such as keys, door handles, steering wheels, shift knobs, emergency/parking brake handles, etc. Our technicians who service and drive your car are gloved at all times, and the high touch surfaces are disinfected a final time at the conclusion of service.
There have been fewer events in our lifetimes that have illustrated more powerfully that we are all in this together.
In an attempt to play some small part in helping the wider community, we are saying “Yes” to those with vehicles outside the BMW and MINI ranks who have been asking us for help.
The photos above are of a 2017 Subaru Impreza Sport and a 2011 Kia Soul. They belong to neighbors of ours here in Brooklyn. Our Service Manager, Matt Erwin, who has been a BMW Level 1 Master Technician for 20 years, performed the repairs to both. Of course, we used Original Equipment (O.E.) parts, as is our policy.
Call Chris and see if we can help you with another brand vehicle, too. Take advantage of the opportunity to get Pacific Motorsports’ level of service and attention lavished on “the other car”.
We’re all in this together and doing our best in these trying times. We thank you for your loyal patronage, wish each and every one of you, peace and serenity, and look forward to seeing you soon.
Thank you.
